MAKE A DONATION! MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
PNB STARS asks for your support in our effort to fulfill the dreams of Pacific Northwest Ballet School’s talented students as they pursue a professional career in ballet. Your support in either donating in kind or sponsoring a portion of the PNB STARS 10th annual Scholarship Event: “Pointe to the Stars” will help us reach that goal.
Pointe to the Stars: PNB and Virtual Reality will enable participants to experience for themselves VR technology and dance, with original choreography by PNB Company dancer (and former PNB STARS scholarship recipient) Price Suddarth. The VR experience we will showcase is produced by software startup Pixvana, in partnership with Pacific Northwest Ballet and PNB STARS. During this event, we anticipate welcoming more than 200 guests, including PNB Company dancers and PNB Artistic Director Peter Boal.
Your support of this annual scholarship event, through in-kind support or event sponsorship, would be gratefully received and appreciated. All proceeds will be donated to the PNB STARS Scholarship Fund, which supports students of Pacific Northwest Ballet School, ranked as one of the top three ballet training institutions in the nation.
How do these scholarships make a difference?
Price Suddarth, Company dancer and choreographer at PNB tells us: “After spending two years in New York at the School of American Ballet it was time for a job. I was invited to attend PNB as a professional division student. Financially coming to yet another school and having no income was not an option—that is until I received the STARS scholarship. PNB STARS made it possible for me to come to Seattle and pursue a career with one of my dream companies. To this day I am so grateful for the chance to be a part of such an amazing company and for the generosity of PNB STARS!”
PNB STARS was founded in 2007 to support Pacific Northwest Ballet. Its members are dedicated people who appreciate the artistry of ballet and work to educate and engage with the broader community.
